Charity Cheque Artwork Guide

So, you’re going to design your giant charity cheque - fantastic news! Follows these steps to ensure the best result from your design!

  • Check out our Tips To Make Your Cheque Stand Out to get some great ideas to consider when designing your cheque.
  • If you’re using design software, do ensure that it is set on CMYK, not RGB. This will make sure that your colour is printed exactly the way you want it to be!
  • For best results for your design, include a 3mm safe zone on the edge of the template and ensure all the text and images are within this boundary.
  • Make sure that any images’ resolutions are set to 300dpi – this will avoid unattractive pixelated prints.
  • If you decide to go off-road and go for a bespoke shape, set up a cutter guide in your desired shape. This will be cut with a digital cutter so we can ensure accuracy on your desired design. It’s useful to use magenta for the borders of your cutter guide to keep the outline distinct.
  • Should you want your cheque to be double sided, remember to submit a design for both sides!
  • When you’re happy with your design, don’t forget to proofread and check all your logos and images for resolution and quality.
  • Save and upload your design at the shopping cart or send it over to us via email, Dropbox or WeTransfer. We prefer print ready PDFs but can accept the industry standard file types like Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
